How to set-up the app?

To set-up the Mobile app, you should:

  • Check whether the GateKeeper authorization method is supported by your Account provider
  • Enable the method from your Personal Account in the Third Party Provider website
  • Pair the app with your Account by following the instructions there

To find and install the GateKeeper app follow the directions for your type of phone explained below.

Install on Android devices

Requirements:

To use the GateKeeper app on your Android device, it must run Android version 4.0.3 or later.

Download the app from Google play:

Set-up the app:

  1. On the website of your Account provider, go to the "Profile » My user settings" and select Authentication method "Via Mobile App GateKeeper".
  2. On your phone, open the GateKeeper application.
  3. If you are using the app for the first time, click the "Begin setup" button or if you are adding a new account, choose "Add an account" from the app’s menu.
  4. To link your phone to your account:

    • Using QR code: Select Scan a QR code (screen 1, label A). If the app cannot locate the QR code or does not support QR code scanning feature, you can complete the setup process by entering manually your Account e-mail and the displayed on the website Security key.
    • Using Security key: (screen 1, label B) enter the email address of your Account and the Security key displayed on the website.

  5. Name your account in the next screen (screen 2). This will help you to recognize which code to use if you set-up the GateKeeper with more than one account.

  6. Lock your application with 4 digit simple passcode (screen 3 and 4).

  7. To test if the application is working, enter the authentication code from your phone (screen 6) to the field on your computer and click "Verify"; confirm with the code, received via SMS.

  8. If your code is correct, you will see a confirmation message. Click "OK" to continue the set-up process. If your code is incorrect, try with the next code and if it is also wrong, start the set-up process form the beginning.

To use the GateKeeper app on your iPhone, it must run iOS version 7.0 or later.
